Sejla ALMADI

 Sejla ALMADI 

RESEARCH FELLOW AND PROJECT MANAGER

She earned her Ph.D at the École Doctorale d'Entreprise, Économie et Société, Université de Bordeaux, France. Formerly she graduated as an economist from the International Economics and Business (MA) at the Corvinus University of Budapest, besides which she took studies in mathematics and marketing at Corvinus and Télécom Paris Tech. She has gained working experiences in risk management at the European Parliament, in quality management, HR and budget analysis at the European Investment Bank, international marketing management at CNHindustrial, in teaching at KEDGE BS, in research at the Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade. She is currently an assistant professor at the Institute of World Economy of Corvinus, the editor, author and co-author of several scientific publications in Hungarian, English and French. She is a research fellow and project manager of BIK.

Sándor ÁSZITY

SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW AND HEAD OF THE LEAN-LAB 

He worked for more than 30 years at almost every level of the automotive supply chain. He was involved in the construction of one of the major multinational automobile manufacturer's assembly plants in Hungary, and took part in the development and implementation of vocational training curricula for logistics service staff. He taught BSC and MSC quality subjects at the BME Department of Automotive Technology for three years in Hungarian and English. In addition, he has published several articles and university notes. He is currently working in full time in automotive supplier development and he is a senior research fellow of BIK.

Judit BURUCS

SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW AND PROJECT MANAGER

She earned her PHD degree in industrial economics at the Budapest University of Economics. She has more around 30-year experiences in the financial sector. She held senior positions as a member of the Board of Directors, a member of the Supervisory Board and a director. Her special area was risk management, with a particular focus on market risks. At the World Bank’s subsidiary, IFC, she led Russia Banking Advisory Project in Russia.  She published some articles and gave presentations at several international conferences. She was the strategic director of Magyar Posta for some years. She worked as a consultant in several countries, including China, Russia and Cambodia. She has been a senior lecturer at the Department of World Economy of the Corvinus University of Budapest for 3 years.

Viktória ENDRŐDI-KOVÁCS

Viktória ENDRŐDI-KOVÁCS

RESEARCH FELLOW AND PROJECT MANAGER

She earned her Ph.D degree as an economist at the Corvinus University of Budapest. She is currently working in full time there as an assistant professor at the Institute of World Economy. Her research topics are the Western Balkan countries, the Foreign Direct Investments, the global value chains, the competitiveness of countries and companies and the development of the SME sector. She is the co-author and author of several books, book chapters and articles in Hungarian and English. She participates at national and international conferences, and gives lectures in the these two languages. She is a research fellow and project manager of BIK.

András ILLYÉS

JUNIOR RESERCHEAR

Future mechatronics engineer, specialized on designing smart devices at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), studying in German. He speaks English, German and Spanish, he specializes in space activity, mainly rocketry. He played ice hockey, he's favourite sports are scuba diving and gliding, and plays the saxophone. He is the president of the BME Cosmos Society, which has 185 members, organizes lectures and workshops, and has various projects in the field of space activities. With the support of the Department of Space Research and Space Activities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and the team of the Cosmos Society, he organized Hungary's first small satellite competition (CanSat Hungary) and they are preparing for further rocketry developments. He also participated in the creation of the Hungarian National Space Strategy. He uses his previously acquired organizational knowledge, strategy-making skills and technical knowledge (such as industry 4.0) at BIK, and adopts the economist approach.

Péter ILLYÉS

SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW AND PROJECT MANAGER

He graduated as physicist in 2000 at Eötvös Loránd University, Faculty of Science and as biomedical engineer in 2001 at Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics. Nowadays he is studying at Budapest Corvinus University as research and innovation manager. He started his professional career at General Electric joining to Edison Engineering Development Program in 2000. Then he has held a variety of leadership positions in manufacturing, engineering and back office areas at several companies. He has broad experience and solid knowledge in all aspects of Lean principles, Six Sigma methodology and end-to-end Process Management & Improvement, innovation management, quality management working in different industries and multicultural environments.  He is auditor of ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001 management systems.In 2015 he, as a managing director of an automotive company, launched the first Hungarian electrical bus production. In 2017 he established an Industrial Innovation Centre and in 2018 he founded one of the first Digital Innovation HUB in Hungary. He managed the Hungarian Open Innovation Cluster for Construction Industry (MIÉNK) and launched a vocational training centre in 2017 having almost 100 students today.He was rewarded innovation award by Chambre of Industry and Commerce in 2017; CSR award by First Hungarian CSR Association in 2018; company of the year special prize by PPH Media in 2019. Currently he is vice president of the First Hungarian CSR Association and he is a senior research fellow and project manager of BIKObjective is to think of tomorrow...

Pál Zoltán LUKÁCS

Pál Zoltán LUKÁCS

SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW AND PROJECT MANAGER

He earned his Ph.D degree at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Faculty of Transportation, Kálmán Kandó Doctoral School. For years he was a lecturer at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Department of Automobiles. Between 2009 and 2019 he acted as Senior Research Fellow, then College Professor at Highschool Kecskemét (now John von Neumann University). From 2014 until 2019 he leaded the Department of Vehicle Technology at John von Neumann University, Faculty GAMF. He had working experiences in automotive industry at Knorr-Bremse R&D Institute Budapest as Development Group Leader and in the Association of Hungarian Automotive Industry as Managing Director. For 10 years he was the Director of Communication and Development of Alcufer Ltd., the biggest Hungarian Industrial Waste Recycler. Nowadays he works for the Pannon University as a Senior Research Follow, his main research topics are the different sustainability-fields, as the sustainable water- and waste management and energy-production.

Sándor Gyula NAGY

DIRECTOR

He earned his PhD and habilitation from the Corvinus University of Budapest, where he is currently an associate professor at the Institute of World Economy. His main fields of research are Latin-America and Spain, and furthermore, the process of global, regional and European integration and the development of the SME sector. He is the co-author and author of several books, book chapters and academic papers written in Hungarian, English and Spanish. He has been giving lectures in these three languages. He is the founder and director of BIK.

Luca NÉMETH

JUNIOR RESEARCHER

She graduated as a Business Information Technologist at the Corvinus University of Budapest. In addition to her studies, she gained work experience at several multinational companies, as an Innovation Assistant, Project Manager and Logistics Trainee. She was vice-president and economic curator of the Schönherz College Foundation, as well as participating in the leadership of a university group of 300 students. She’s range of interest includes optimizations, knowledge management and project management.
